coverage for all five of our varsity teams as they kickoff another Texas High
School football season!
First weekend of the 2010 football season: Thurs., Aug. 26 - West Mes. vs. Rockwall. Friday, Aug. 27 - MHS vs Lake Highlands.

Kickoff of the 2010 Football Season
The broadcast schedule for the first weekend of the 2010 football season is set! Thursday night, August 26, we will kickoff the new season by broadcasting the West Mesquite vs. Rockwall match up. On Friday night, August 27, we will cover the Skeeters of MHS as they take on Lake Highlands!
Two MISD Players Committ
West Mesquite QB, Trevone Boykin, announced recently that he will play his college football next year at TCU! Last year Boykin ran for ofor 1,200 yards while passing for !,665.
North Mesquite strong safety, Jared Brackings - 6'2" - 195, recently committed for play next year for Iowa State University. Brackens has 4.5 speed and can provide pressure off the edge as a pass rusher, or he can drop back in coverage.
Horn Softball Advances to Third Round of the Softball Playoffs
The Lady Jags head into a three game series this week vs. A&M Consolidated. This series is for the Regional Quarter Final Championship. Horn is currently ranked in the top 10 in the state 5A softball poll with a record of 25-4.
Five MISD Teams Compete in the Playoffs This Week!
The Horn and Mesquite softball teams won Bi District Championships last week and move on to the second round of postseason play. Horn takes on Garland and Mesquite plays Rowlett later this week.
In baseball the district will send three teams into the playoffs. The Skeeters of MHS play Kileen Ellison, Horn meets A&M Consolidated and the Poteet Pirates face the Panthers of Waco Midway. Check our broadcast schedule above to see the games we will cover - Live - right here at 88.5 FM!
