Community Focus

Interviews with representatives of community groups, city officials, MISD officials, Eastfield College officials, local charities, and others, publicizing their activities, public safety issues, municipal affairs, and school district affairs. It airs Monday through Saturday.

Living In The Quote

Words are powerful! Are you ever captivated or motivated by well-expressed aphorisms, phrases or sayings from influential or famous people? Then listen in on host, Janet Launza, as she and her guests bring some widely known words of wisdom to life.  Our favorite quotes can empower us, encourage us and cheer us on; they can remind us of things we want to do or a way we want to be, and sometimes, they describe exactly how we feel at a certain point in time. Living in the Quote airs Sundays and Thursdays at 5:45a.m. and 9:45 p.m.

Millennials in the Know

It's about bridging gaps between generations. Millennials can get a bad rep, and the host, Paige Lehmann, offers a platform to a variety of different speakers from different generation brackets, bringing you wisdom from different ages, cultures, and backgrounds alike!

MISD Sports Page

Sports Director Steve Glenn brings you information on teams, district races, game scores, and interviews with coaches. It airs Monday through Friday during the school year.

Pet Tips

Hosted by SPCA of Texas, this program offers tips on how to support, love, care and tend to your pets. It airs every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Read Play Talk

Our Read Play Talk feature is based on Mesquite ISD's research-based, community supported initiative to champion early childhood literacy among its students.  A Mesquite ISD Design Team comprised of teachers, principals, instructional specialist and curriculum experts brought all of their experiences together to design Read Play Talk.

It is hosted by Dr. Norbert Herzog and Dr. David Niesel. The two minute feature is heard on Saturdays and Sundays.

On the Money Minute

Hosted by Steven L. Pomeranz, certified financial planner and a frequent panelist on the Fox Business Channel. Pomeranz will offer tips and insights for dealing with day-to-day family finances. The show airs Monday through Friday.

Passport to Texas

Host Cecilia Nasti is your guide for a journey into the great Texas outdoors on this series. Environmental information, outdoor sporting information, and details on state parks are included in the programs produced by Texas Parks and Wildlife, the Sport Fish and Wildlife Restoration Program, and Dow Chemical Company. It airs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Pulse of the Planet

In this show, which is sponsored by the American Museum of Natural History, host Jim Metzner brings you fascinating looks at all aspects of natural history. It airs Monday through Friday.

Science and the Sea

This program presents marine science topics in an engaging two-minute story format. Script writers gather ideas for the program from the University of Texas Marine Science Institute's researchers and from their very popular college class, Introduction to Oceanography, which is taught to hundreds of non-science majors at The University of Texas at Austin every year. It airs on Saturday and Sunday.

Star Date

This two-minute feature digs into deep space, sharing information and scientific findings about stars, methods of space exploration, and other phenomena outside Earth's atmosphere. The show is produced in the University of Texas McDonald Observatory based on research funded by NASA and the National Science Foundation.

Sound Beat

This 90-second show takes you on a journey through the history of sound from The Belfer Audio Archive and produced at Syracuse University.  It can be heard Monday through Friday.
